About Jason

Jason joined MYU in 2013 as a Summer Day Camp Director. His plan was only to fill this summer position. However, God grabbed his heart and led him to take on a full-time position as a Terra Nova Youth Centre Program Coordinator. Jason is an ambassador from a country that is out of this world. He befriends, he mentors, he leads, he comforts, he heals and he cares. He develops, creates and sustains programs designed to help the youth of Quebec recognize that they are loved and that God has a unique purpose for their lives. Jason is married to Kim.

Jason’s Story

People. From the very beginning of my life, I have loved establishing relationships with people from every walk of life. I am eager to begin a conversation of depth with almost anyone I meet. Eight years ago, this passion led me to be involved with the youth group at my church. An appreciation for learning motivated me to complete my degree in English & History at Concordia University. I had intended to pursue further studies in teaching high school; however, God had other plans for me. I believe He has called me into full-time ministry with Montreal Youth Unlimited to establish and oversee programs that will have an eternal impact on the lives of Montreal’s youth. Although I appreciate Shakespeare’s works, I have a deeper passion for establishing authentic connections with children and youth, sharing with them the ways of Jesus.

The reality of living in Quebec means that our youth are bombarded with stereotypes and misrepresentations of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Youth often forsake any thought of Christianity as a result of this culture in which we strive to raise godly children. My heart desires nothing more than to take this reality head-on by encouraging and challenging these youth. I believe God has given me a passion and a skill set to demonstrate the love of God into the lives of Quebec’s youth.
