About Marcy

Life is a journey, but always God asks that we seek Him and trust Him until we can look back and see more clearly what His plans were in the circumstances surrounding us. I was raised loving Jesus in Northern BC. I felt God’s call to Quebec on my heart since my mid-teens, and my own teenage pregnancy and subsequent experiences led the way further toward His purposes. But it was when my husband, Kalvin, our four children, and I arrived in Quebec that we understood the threads of God’s call for our lives and saw clearly that He has been weaving us for ministry at Station 7 Youth Drop-In and Options Crisis Pregnancy Care Center. It’s humbling to see how the roads we walked over our lifetime prepared us to join directors Teddy and Linda Hoare, who have been praying for years for a couple prepared by God to come join them in living out a strong faith in Christ through mentorship and in ministering to the needs of teens and young women in the city of Châteauguay. I am excited and blessed by the vision God has for us in Châteauguay, and will be watching and working as His plans continue to unfold.

Marcy’s Story

Dignity. My heart for others is to affirm their God-given dignity. Too many don’t realize who they are. We were created to love and belong to God, while deception entices us to be someone else. I believe God has placed on my heart to share just how much he loves and cares about each and every one of us. I was raised loving Jesus in Northern BC.

I felt God’s call to Quebec on my heart since my mid-teens, and my own teenage pregnancy has shaped God’s purpose in my life. My husband Kalvin, our four children, and I left BC and arrived in Quebec not clearly understanding His call, but being obedient nonetheless. When we arrived in the community of Chateauguay, we were led to a ministry working with teens through a drop-in and a crisis pregnancy centre. They had been seeking and praying for years to have a couple come alongside them to share and deepen their impact in the community.

We are convinced that God called us and asked us to submit ourselves to minister to those in need through this centre. It’s humbling to see how the roads we walked over our lifetime prepared us to join Station 7 and Options Crisis Pregnancy Centre. I am honoured to be in the middle of what God is doing here. Through our journey, I have come to understand and know that God loves us and He has a plan for each and every one of us.
